Dear readers,
I miss you and can't wait to share this new story with you, so please mark your calendars for the This Way, Charlie events below. We are all experiencing Big Changes and many Big Feelings at this time, and since This Way, Charlie is all about two animal friends navigating big challenges together, I hope this tale will bring you some joy and inspiration. I'll be getting up more activities on the website this spring you and kiddos at home can use to explore feelings and friendship the way Jack and Charlie do. You can read and do some activities with me by tuning into or watching the below events!
April 21st Tune In Anytime to Kid Lit TV (starting at 8am) for a StoryMakers interview with me and a twitter-chance to win a copy of This Way, Charlie: You'll learn about the book, get a glimpse of Charles Santoso's drafting process, hear about when I met the real live goats, and at the end Rocco and I practice ways to make a new friend! You can watch and then try it at home! And if you re-tweet and follow on twitter, you'll be entered to win a free copy of the book and a signed bookplate!
From April 21-23, Join Charles Santoso via his Instagram page to celebrate This Way, Charlie by suggesting YOUR idea of an unlikely animal friendship! Charles will then pick 2 ideas on 23rd April and draw them, live!”
April 26th: Watch reading of This Way, Charlie from the middle of a pond on what I call Honeysuckle Raft. Come read with me! I'll be putting a link here closer to and of course sharing via social media--so join me.
May 2nd 11:30 est: Join me for a live-zoom This Way, Charlie storytime via my local independent bookstore Greenlight Bookstore! Click here to sign up.
